By Kris Lande, Product Marketing Manager

It’s no secret, at Escapia we LOVE guest reviews. We feel that guest reviews are one of the most powerful tools vacation rental managers have to differentiate themselves from the rest of the pack. Guest reviews drive additional bookings by giving online travelers the confidence they need to book your vacation rentals. In fact, our data shows that the ratio of bookings for units with reviews is 41% higher than for those without reviews.

That said, we wanted showcase some vacation rental managers that are guest review superstars, so we compiled a top ten list of vacation rental managers who are getting the highest satisfaction ratings from past guests. The ratings, done using the EscapiaOne ratings and review system, are 100% verified to come from past guests and reflect the opinions of more than 50,000 guests.

And the winners are…(drumroll please!)

Congratulations to our winners; and job well done for taking excellent care of their guests and giving vacation rentals a great reputation!

Think about a surfside holiday in the winter sunshine

COAST CITIES — Ever dreamed of waking up to the sound of waves or winding down the day with a glass of wine on an oceanfront deck watching the sun dip below the horizon? As the rest of the world bundles up, consider an off-season vacation right at the water’s edge.

The Oceanside-based company started with one property on Neptune Avenue back in 2000, right next to Beacon’s Beach. Today, in 2008, the company has grown to 38 properties. The off-season rate being offered for all rentals now is $99 per bedroom, per night. Book online and save 5 percent off of the rental rate.

Beachfront Only Vacation Rentals specializes in only beachfront homes either on a bluff overlooking the ocean in Encinitas or directly on the sand in Oceanside. All have fully stocked kitchens with everything from spices to blenders to coffee grinders, and all rentals come stocked with linens as well. There is something for a couple wanting to get away, or an entire family reunion, with one-bedroom condos on the sand to nine- or 10-bedroom single-family homes. One four-unit condo complex at 809 S. Pacific St. sleeps 60. Rooftop decks are common at several rentals, plus fireplaces and flat screen TVs.

“Beachfront Only has done all the work for you,” one guest from Arizona commented.

“Spacious floorplans, 50-inch plasma television, Jacuzzis, barbecue grill, washer and dryer, appliances, dishes, linens, towels, private parking and more. Just step off the back patio and dip your toes into the freedom of tranquility.” Another guest put it this way, “What hotel can you stay in that is on the beach (has) a kitchen, almost every utensil needed, 2,000 square feet and four bedrooms?”

The company offers various contests for its customers and the most recent photo contest winner, Joni Goar, submitted a photo of a “105th Birthday” greeting written in the sand below her rental. Her party was actually from San Diego, like many Beachfront Onlys’ guests who just want to escape for a few days to the beach.

Beachfront Only homes can also be used for corporate retreats, and even business meetings. They work at customer service, whether it be delivering extra soap and toilet paper, or helping arrange for flowers upon arrival. They boast a staff that works around the clock, seven days a week.
